This is the unglamorous end of the category and the one where getting it wrong is expensive. A shipping crate is specified from the load: the weight, how it is distributed, whether it is fragile, and whether the crate will be forklifted, slung or hand-carried.

We build to that rather than to a catalogue size. Reinforced corner posts, a skid or pallet base sized for standard fork spacing, and cleated panels on anything over a metre so the sides cannot bow under strapping. Internal bracing and foam blocking where the load needs it.

For anything crossing a border, the timber must be heat treated and stamped to ISPM 15 or the crate will be refused at the port — a genuinely common and completely avoidable disaster. Tell us the destination when you enquire and we will specify it correctly.
